CARID offers a selection of sophisticated functions not commonly found in standard car multimedia systems. These features can be easily navigated while ensuring driver safety on the road. With CARID, there's no need to spend time adjusting the application layout for your vehicle. Upon launch, users are greeted with a visually engaging interface, primed for immediate use. An exceptional capability of this application is its ability to operate in either portrait or landscape mode, adapting to the orientation of the device within the car.

Highlighted features include:

 <li>Off-road functionality providing an inclinometer to gauge pitch and roll angles of the vehicle and offering customizable visual and audible warnings, essential for navigating rough terrains. The application also displays the altitude above sea level and allows for user customization of vehicle appearance and terrain settings.</li>
 <li>Statistics tracking distance travelled, time, average and maximum speeds. Users can record this data for up to three independent routes and effortlessly share it with friends.</li>
 <li>Speedometer featuring a striking display of current speed as well as real-time speed limit indications for the current road (beta version).</li>
 <li>Compass providing a reliable directional guide based on GPS coordinates rather than device sensors.</li>
 <li>Acceleration times feature allows users to assess their vehicle's acceleration parameters, set specific start and end speeds, view a speed versus time graph during acceleration tests, and measure reaction times.</li>
 <li>Speed dial function lets users add favorite contacts for quick, one-click calls.</li>
 <li>My place functionality includes a map showing the user's current position, customizable between vector or satellite view with traffic data available. Users can save points of interest instantly for later navigation or sharing.</li>
 <li>Access to internet radio stations worldwide for easy streaming, search by country or keywords, as well as quick station switching and favoriting.</li>
 <li>Real-time weather updates based on current location, delivering key driver-relevant information such as temperature, humidity, cloud cover, visibility, and wind direction relative to vehicle movement.</li>

Moreover, CARID allows users to personalize their home screen with widgets displaying crucial information such as time, battery status, compass readings, weather details, current speed, car tilt angles, location address, distance to saved locations, statistics data, speed dial shortcuts for calling contacts, altitude above sea level.
